The Collings MT2 A Style mandolin is one of the most beautiful available. It uses top quality materials and has a very high build quality.

The Collings MT2 A Style was built using traditional combinations of a Red (Adirondack), Spruce top and Eastern Flame Maple back, sides, neck, and fingers, and Ebony for the fingerboard, bridge, and fretboard. It is finished in a flawless nitrocellulose lacquer. Collings is known for its exceptional finishing. This example’s body is bound with faux tortoise plastic. Some versions use Ivoroid. They also have a black/white side and top purfling.

The true test of an instrument’s performance is how it sounds and plays, and the Collings MT2A Style mandolin doesn’t disappoint. This instrument is still in excellent condition, even fresh from the factory. It has a sweet tone and plenty of volume. Red or Adirondack Spruce is used as the top to keep the tone clear when playing hard in bluegrass or country settings. This instrument is truly amazing.

The Collings MT2 mandolin comes with its original Collings branded shell and a TKL-branded case.
